Software Architect | Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

Seeking a Software Architect who will be responsible for the development of architectural guidelines, software designs, applications and data concepts based on the business needs of KAMO Power and its member Cooperatives.  Needs the creativity and technical ability to transform those needs into productive enterprise applications for both large and small projects.  Will design technical software solutions, act as technical development team lead working with peers within the organization and will maintain direct involvement in a project from conception to deployment including continued maintenance and future upgrades. Must have a strong understanding of the software development process as well as a strong   working knowledge of the business domain.  Should have extensive knowledge about technology, security, and networks in general. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and five years’ experience in database design is required as well as eight years of experience with MVC, C#, JavaScript and database connections.  Should have web development experience with various framework and deployment methods such as Angular, Type Script, etc.  Experience working with Electrical Distribution Outage Management System, Multispeak Interfaces, and EMS/DMS/SCADA systems as well as previous experience working with ESRI development and Milsoft network models is preferred.  Compensation is based on the experience and qualifications of the selected applicant.

Relay Technician | Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma

Seeking a technician experienced in testing, calibration, maintenance and installation of revenue metering systems, indicating meters, electrical transducers, LTC’s, electromechanical and SEL relays, and control schemes.  Ability to interpret written procedures and read electrical drawings, along with excellent troubleshooting and mechanical skills.  Must live within 30 minutes from work location in Stillwater, Oklahoma and possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid, unrestricted commercial driver’s license. Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field required. 2-3 years relevant work  experience as well as knowledge of NERC compliance is preferred.  Compensation is based on the experience and qualifications of the selected applicant.  KAMO offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

Computer Systems Technician IV | Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

Will provide IT support for KAMO and member Cooperative employees.  A successful candidate shall have working knowledge on deploying and administering Windows workstations, Windows and Linux servers, e-mail systems, datacenter virtualization and backup systems, Windows domains, endpoint security systems, VoIP phone systems, databases and applications.  Candidate shall possess a minimum of (5) years’ experience in at least four of the above listed disciplines. Associates degree in an IT related field required; Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field preferred.  Equivalent industry experience may potentially be considered toward substitution of degree requirement.  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.  Good interpersonal skills are required to interact with all KAMO employees, member system employees, and other utilities. The ability to document existing and proposed computer systems through written explanations and logic diagrams, flow charts and other visual aids is required. The ability to make presentations in a clear and concise manner to KAMO management, member systems, and others is desired.  KAMO offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

Engineering Technician III | Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

Candidate should have working knowledge of substation protective relaying and metering design, AutoCAD, Schweitzer Engineering relays, substation equipment, schematics, wiring diagrams, relay event analysis, electric system protection theory, protection equipment testing methods, effective in solving relaying and metering design problems. Candidate should be able to communicate orally and in writing and must be a team player.  Associates of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronics Technology.  Five to Seven years of relay and metering experience required.  Should have completed or have the ability to complete the TVPPA Metering & Relaying courses.  This position will be filled at the appropriate pay grade levels according to the experience and qualifications of the selected applicant.   KAMO offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.

Telecom Transport Systems Engineer  | Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

Design and maintain a regional Next Generation SONET, DWDM and MPLS Ethernet transport system as well as maintain Enterprise routers, switches, and firewalls.  Monitor the system and all customer services from the Network Operation Center, analyze events, and resolve all issues in a timely manner.  Create procedures, design modified service routes, send customer notices and supervise remote system modifications.  Test and configure access equipment, DS1, DS3, optical or Ethernet services prior to customer release.  Coordinate performance tests by field engineers and technicians.  Initiate and track service requests.  This position will work a weekday rotation schedule of 10-hour day and evening shifts.  Experience in designing, managing, and provisioning telecommunications networks is required.  Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Management or related field is required (EE, IS, or MIS with a minor in Telecommunications).  Directly related experience may potentially be considered in lieu of educational requirements.

SCADA Systems Analyst | Location: Vinita, Oklahoma

This position will be working on the SCADA master stations.  Work experience in some of the following areas is required:  Building operator displays, creating master station database entries, front end processors, DNP Protocol, GIS, Automatic Vehicle Location, isolation and service restoration using SCADA, volt/VAR control, Distribution Power Flow models, ICCP, Outage Management Systems and OSI Monarch.  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required, plus 3-5 years of experience working with SCADA Master.  This position is a full time position eligible for KAMO’s market based compensation and excellent benefits programs.
