Engineering Technician II | Vinita, Oklahoma

Job Title:  Engineering Technician II

Posting Date: July 29, 2025

KAMO Power, located in Vinita, Oklahoma is in search of a Engineering Technician II.  The work location will be Vinita Headquarters.

The Engineering Technician will assist in relay and meter design of substations.  Generate relaying and metering designs, drawings, specifications, material lists, SEL relay logic, SCADA points list, communication processor configurations and compliance spreadsheets.

Ideal candidates should have general knowledge of relay event analysis, SCADA systems point list development, protective relays, revenue meters, power transformers, current transformers, circuit breakers, circuit switches, capacitor banks, wave traps, carrier equipment and reactors.

An associate’s of science degree in electrical engineering technology or electronic technology.  Requires two (2) to five (5) years of relay and metering experience. Additional directly related education and experience may be evaluated as an equivalent to education requirements.  

All levels of experience will be considered.  Job and pay grade will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

Engineer III | Vinita, Oklahoma

Job Title:  Engineer III

Posting Date: June 3, 2025

KAMO Power, located in Vinita, Oklahoma is in search of a Engineer III.  The work location will be Vinita Headquarters.

An Engineering in the substation design department will work on the physical design of new substations or maintenance redesign of existing structures.  Responsible for developing project scopes, conceptual designs, one-lie diagrams and cost estimates for substation projects.  

Ideal candidates should possess a general knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D as it relates to electric power transmission and distribution substations. Demonstrate general technical knowledge of substation components such as transformers, circuit breakers, circuit switchers, capacitor banks, wave traps, reactors, and buss work.

A Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school is required.  Ideal candidates should have four (4) to seven (7) years of experience.

All levels of experience will be considered.  Job and pay grade will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

CIP Compliance Specialist II | Vinita, Oklahoma

Job Title:  CIP Compliance Specialist II

📍 Location: KAMO Power Headquarters – Vinita, Oklahoma

 

KAMO Power is seeking a CIP Compliance Specialist II to join our team in Vinita, Oklahoma. This position plays a key role in assisting with the development and implementation of KAMO’s NERC CIP compliance program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer CIP compliance procedures, internal controls, and ensure regulatory alignment
  • Conduct CIP intern audits, risk assessments, investigations, and mitigation planning
  • Monitor updates to NERC CIP Reliability Standards and coordinate timely implementation
  • Provide CIP compliance training and promote a culture of accountability across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field; an associate degree with relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in at least one of the following fields: NERC CIP compliance and standards, general cybersecurity, operations, CIP regulatory compliance, auditing, policy development, SCADA, EMS, or other Operational Technology environment.
  • General knowledge of compliance activities is required including NERC CIP standards, cybersecurity principles, cyber risk management, and CIP regulatory compliance practices.
  • General knowledge of CIP compliance tools and risk assessment frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001 and TRIPwire or similar CIP compliance tracking tools.
